TEAM Launches “Mapping the Gap: Child Care Availability Dashboard”

In partnership with TEAM for West Virginia Children and the West Virginia Association for Young Children (WVAYC), Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA) has developed a new interactive map dashboard to map the supply and demand of child care for children in West Virginia in 2023. The data dashboard includes locations of the open and licensed 1,412 child care providers throughout West Virginia as of February 10, 2023. The number of overall providers in the state includes center-based, family child care, Head Start, school-age, and summer programs.

The data dashboard was developed with the generous support of the Alliance for Early Success, which provides technical assistance and targeted investments to early childhood advocacy allies nationwide that are pursuing policies that improve outcomes for our youngest children.
