Healthy Families America is a nationally recognized, evidence-based home visiting program model designed to work intensively with overburdened families who are at-risk for adverse childhood experiences, including child maltreatment.

Maternal Infant Health Outreach Workers

Maternal Infant Health Outreach Workers is a parent-to-parent intervention that is designed to improve health and child development among economically disadvantaged, geographically and/or socially isolated families with children prenatally to age 3.

Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers is an international, evidence-based home visiting program model that promotes optimal early development, learning and health of young children by supporting and engaging their parents and caregivers.

The home visitation models/programs currently providing services in the State include: Healthy Families America; Maternal Infant Health Outreach Workers (MIHOW); Parents as Teachers; Birth to Three; Early Head Start; Right From The Start; Healthy Start/Helping Appalachian Parents & Infants Project (HAPI); and Save the Children.
