Dr. Moon is an internationally recognized expert in sudden infant death syndrome and sudden unexpected infant death, serves as Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics Task Force on SIDS, and is Division Head of General Pediatrics and Professor of Pediatrics, University of Virginia Medical School.

Gubernatorial Proclamation and Launch of Infant Safe Sleep Month with First Lady Cathy Justice and special guests Mike Casey, County Medical Examiner, and Gary and Maura Hanke, Charlie’s Kids Foundation.  Through Charlie Paul Hanke’s story, the Foundation collaborated to create the Sleep Baby Safe and Snug book, which is successfully used to provide safe sleep education to new parents and caretakers, and is a popular tool among Say YES To Safe Sleep For Babies partners.
