On May 17, 2007, the TEAM for West Virginia Children honored Dr. Joseph Werthammer and Dr. Gilbert Ratcliff with its inaugural Service to Children Award.  The two pediatricians have served our children for decades and established a top level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  Prior to this, premature babies routinely died in the delivery room or shortly after birth.  It is no exaggeration to say that hundreds of babies went on to happy and healthy childhoods because of these two doctors.  Please watch the tribute video (below) to see why we chose Drs.
